Identity Crisis: How I Survived My Mom’s Medical Misuse

Oh honey, buckle up, because today’s tale is straight out of a daytime soap opera. Picture this: A 25-year-old woman (that’s our heroine) finally discovers that her 55-year-old mom has been using her identity to access medication for nearly a decade. Trust me, this one’s got everything—medical drama, identity theft, and a dollop of maternal madness.

The Background

Our protagonist here is a 25-year-old woman who, since she was around 16 or 17, had the good fortune of her mom deciding that she should be put on Medicare. “Can’t afford you anymore,

Original story

Heyy

I am a 25f, my mom 55f has been using my identity to get medicine since 2016 or so. At the age of 16 or 17.

I had to be put on Medicare. My mom said that she could not afford me anymore.

(Idk anything about it. Who the provides were ) I was/am still living there.

To get these medications she uses her doctors name to get skin care products. At 17 she said I’ll ruin your life.

We went to the doctors she said I am trans. And that I was crazy.

I pleaded with the doctor and said no. But he believed her.

My mom left the room. And I had to strip naked.

He said your a women. I had to lay down and he put on gloves and examined down there.

He gave her medicine. Idk what it was.

I never took anything. Idk if the doctor she works for allows her to use them.

However, I tried to get a government job last year. I got denied because of all the medicine.

While in the interview I learned alot..

..

.I was told the person I am allergic to some medicines.

When the doctor said no. Your allergic to something else.

I kept arguing that I am allergic to this medicine because that is what I was told. That I needed glasses.

I could not see. I should be blind.

I can’t run or walk because of asthma.

And when I was trying to go to interviews my mom said that I stopped breathing in the middle of the night..

.no she did not call 911.

Since I was little I was told that I have asthma. Never had an attack before.

As a kid I would wake up in the middle of the night with my mom having a nebulizer on me. I never called an inhaler on me.

Idk what part of my medical record is real .how do I go about changing it.

I have been getting test done to prove what I do or don’t have. But the doctors look at it and say your symptoms for asthma can come and go.

i never carried an inhaler..

.

I have cried to doctors saying it’s false. And they said they will help when they can.

But I want to change everything..

..

Tldr: my mom 55f has been using my identity to get medicine. And my medical record says I have server asthma.

I should be blind..

..

I want to change it. The doctors won’t seem to help
